When you install the Toocheke or Toocheke Premium theme, your website will automatically display a generated homepage showing your latest content.

This works great out of the box. But what if you want to design your own custom homepage?

Good news — WordPress together with the Toocheke theme gives you full flexibility to build any homepage you want.

Let’s walk through your options.

1. Using the Built-In Homepage Layouts

By default, Toocheke provides several pre-designed homepage layouts that you can quickly switch between.

To change your homepage layout:

  • Log in to your WordPress Dashboard
  • Go to Appearance → Customize → Home Page Layout
  • Select one of the available layout options
  • Click Publish

Your homepage layout will update instantly.

This is the fastest way to customize your homepage without creating a new page from scratch.

2. Creating Your Own Custom Homepage

If you want complete control over your homepage design, you can create your own page and set it as the homepage.

Step 1: Create a New Page

  • Go to Pages → Add Page
  • Enter a descriptive title (for example: Home)
  • Design and add your content however you like using the block editor
  • Click Publish

Step 2: Set the Page as Your Homepage

Once the page is published:

  • Go to Settings → Reading
  • Under Your homepage displays, switch from Your latest posts to A static page (select below)
  • Select the page you just created from the Homepage dropdown menu.
  • Click Save Changes

That’s it.

Your custom page is now your homepage. You can confirm this by visiting the front end of your website.

3. Using Toocheke Page Templates for Your Homepage

One powerful feature included in both Toocheke and Toocheke Premium is support for predefined page templates.

These templates automatically generate dynamic content and special layouts for specific use cases.

Currently, Toocheke includes the following page templates:

  1. Blog Landing Page
  2. Comics Landing Page
  3. First Comic Page
  4. First Manga Chapter Page
  5. First Manga Series Page
  6. First Manga Volume Page
  7. Latest Comic Page

  10. Latest Manga Volume Page
  11. Comic Chapters Template
  12. Comic Characters Template
  13. Comic Collections Template
  14. Series Genres Template

If you would like to use any of these templates as your homepage, follow these steps.

Step 1: Create a New Page

  • Go to Pages → Add Page
  • Enter the title of the page
  • Do not add any content — the template will automatically generate the content
  • On the right-hand side under the Page tab, change the Template setting to the one you want to use
  • Click Publish

Step 2: Set It as Your Homepage

  • Go to Settings → Reading
  • Make sure A static page (select below) is selected
  • Choose the page you just created from the Homepage dropdown menu.
